Rich Benton is a specialist in founding and supporting infant and distressed businesses and returning them to profitability.
Along with Sir Rod Aldridge, Rich founded Capita Plc in 1984 and built the company to become UK’s premier provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) services. During his 14 years at Capita, Rich achieved sales totalling £238m, pushing the company to profits of £35m, and led the company to its eventual listing at the London Stock Exchange.
He also worked as Chairman of Mouchel Plc, an engineering consultancy firm and led its turnaround achieving eventual sales of over £650million and a valuation of £400million before its merger with Parkman Plc in 2003.
Rich has also founded two other start-up enterprises, in addition to his angel investments in two other companies including Sunbird.
Rich also continues to be involved in global social enterprise and entrepreneurship focusing on funding and supporting social entrepreneurs in UK and South Africa.
