Michael Aldridge, co-founded Sunbird Group and has over 15 years of experience in establishing and managing start-up businesses.
As a corporate finance professional with experience in business services and process management, Michael founded RMAI Limited in 2009 to manage and handle Sir Rod Aldridge’s – founder of Capita Plc - portfolio of investments in business services companies, expanding its fundraising, corporate structuring and investing capabilities.
A serial entrepreneur, Michael is committed to building a successful integrated business and support services platform in East Africa that replicates the Capita business model in the UK, providing these services to blue-chip clients across a range of commercial sectors. His previous start-up experience include establishing Moocow Ltd in 2004, an international retail and intellectual property business that delivered award-winning innovation to customers with supply in over 20 countries. Michael’s other finance and management experience includes working at Kroll Inc. as an Investment Manager. At Kroll he co-founded the Corporate Finance team and provided advisory services such as deal origination work for leading support services businesses, industrial and private equity clients.
As a trustee of The Aldridge Foundation, Michael has worked directly with the Government of the United Kingdom, primarily with the Department for Education, to develop innovative financial models for the funding of schools across the country. Michael is committed to the principle of corporate social responsibility (CSR) focusing on the importance of education for children of disadvantaged backgrounds.
